Are you guys still eating well? We've started eyeing up pictures of bliss / energy balls this week.

Do you make them? What goes in yours? They are perfect for a pre / post training snack, giving you that energy and refuel right when you need it.

Check out these ones, they're such cool colours. I think we might need to do an energy balls challenge to see all the different combos of ingredients our students use to make them.

Talking of challenges have you done the #impactsprawlchallenge yet?

Keep your energy up.....with these easy TAHINI & HALVA energy balls - coated with turmeric or beet! 💪🏼

Made these treats with our friend, Lindsey @confectionerynconfetti on the weekend! ~
RECIPE: blend 1 cup pre-soaked Medjool dates in a food processor until smooth, add 1/2 c roasted mix nuts (we used a combo of walnuts, pecans and almonds), 3 tbs Seed + Mill tahini, 2 tbs coconut oil, pinch of salt. Once well combined, place mixture in a bowl and set aside. Chop small piece (about .25 lb) of cinnamon or cardamom halva into small pea sized pieces. ~

To assemble: press small piece of halva into center of each energy ball (made by rolling mix in palm of hand). Finally, coat each ball on a tray of coconut flakes and 1 tbs of either turmeric powder (we used @diasporaco ) or beet powder (we used @dope_naturally ). Place in fridge or freezer for an hour to firm up. ~
This recipe makes about 12 balls. They are especially delicious eaten straight from the freezer!

At Impact we've been looking at smoothies recently. There are so many combinations you could try. Better still get you kids to choose and try new ingredients. Smoothies are great for a post training refuel. Get them in you!

Smoothies are a great way to sneak in more veggies and have a tasty, satisfying snack. I usually like to add some protein to my smoothies, either with a protein powder or in the form of Greek yogurt. I also like to have a balance of vegetables and fruit in my shakes. ⁠⠀

Here’s what you’ll need for each shake: ⁠⠀

Berry Blast:⁠⠀
½ C kale⁠⠀
¼ C strawberries⁠⠀
¼ C blueberries ⁠⠀
¼ C raspberries ⁠⠀
¼ C blackberries ⁠⠀
1 scoop vanilla protein powder⁠⠀
4-8oz water⁠⠀
Handful of ice⁠⠀

Fall smoothie:⁠⠀
½ C greek yogurt⁠⠀
1 persimmon, peeled⁠⠀
½ medium size banana ⁠⠀
½ C spinach⁠⠀
4-8oz water⁠⠀
Handful of ice⁠⠀

Antioxidant smoothie:⁠⠀
½ C cauliflower ⁠⠀
½ C strawberry ⁠⠀
½ medium size banana ⁠⠀
1 tsp chia seeds⁠⠀
½ C spinach⁠⠀
4-8oz unsweetened almond milk⁠⠀
Handful of ice ⁠⠀

Tropical smoothie: ⁠⠀
½ C spinach ⁠⠀
½ C frozen mango ⁠⠀
½ medium size banana ⁠⠀
2 orange slices⁠⠀
1 scoop vanilla protein powder⁠⠀
4-8oz water⁠⠀
Handful of ice ⁠⠀

Add all the ingredients into a high speed blender or food processor⁠⠀
Blend until it’s all combined ⁠⠀
